Eating out is one of our favorite date night activities. It’s especially nice when we splurge on an appetizer to start our meal! And let me tell you, Chili’s queso dip was definitely a great decision during date night a few weeks back!
I’m pretty sure I told Cody I loved this queso dip a million times during dinner that night! I was obsessed from the first bite. And even when we got down to the crumbs of our tortilla chips I still grabbed handfuls to scoop up the last of the queso. It was that good people!
I knew I had to recreate this and what better time than Super Bowl time! Just grab a couple of ingredients, add a few spices ,and you’ve got a party pleasing dish for everyone! You can even make it ahead of time. Store it in the fridge and then transfer it to a slow cooker to stay warm and cheesy during the entire game.
Copycat Chili’s Queso Dip
16 oz. Velveeta cheese, cubed
10.5 oz. can Hormel chili, no beans
3/4 cup whole milk
1/4 tsp. cayenne pepper
1 tsp. paprika
2 tsp. chili powder
1/4 tsp. cumin
In a large pan on low heat, combine the cubed cheese, chili, and milk.
Continuously stir to combine.
Once cheese is almost entirely melted add the cayenne pepper, paprika, chili powder and cumin.
Stir to combine all seasonings, and either serve immediately or keep warm in slow cooker. Enjoy!
I can’t wait to eat even more of this on Sunday during the big game!
