One of our first family adventures after moving to Idaho last year was to check out Shoshone Falls in the nearby town of Twin Falls. I like to call it the “Niagara Falls of the West” but Cody is always quick to remind me that the falls here at Shoshone Falls are actually taller.
We had such a fun family night going to see the falls this year. Coulter had so much fun running around the whole park looking for animals and finding all the mini waterfalls along the rocks. Graham was happy as could be just hanging in the carrier and watching all the fun.
Last year we took a little golf set for Coulter to play with, and it was a huge hit. This year we brought his tricycle along for some added fun. After we explored the different look out points we got his bike out and let him ride around the sidewalks everywhere.
Shoshone Falls Tips & Tricks
// March 30 through September they charge $3 to enter the park, or you can get a season pass for $25.
// There are picnic tables, barbecue grills, and restrooms available.
// Several trails lead to various vantage points. Most of them are just dirt paths with a decent climb (I definitely got my workout in with Graham on me!).
// Don’t forget to pack snacks, drinks, and sunscreen!
// The peak water flow is typically April through July.
// You can see a live video of the falls here.
We loved our adventure to Shoshone Falls and can’t wait to go back again!
